Fabrication and Characterization of Glass Fiber with SiC Reinforced Polymer Composites

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymeric (GFRP) Composites are most commonly used as bumpers for vehicles, electrical equipment panels, and medical devices enclosures. These materials also widely structural applications in aerospace, automotive, providing alternatives to traditional metallic materials. The paper fabricated epoxy polyester resin composites by using silicon carbide various proportions along with GFRP. hand lay-up technique was fabricate the laminates. To determine properties of composites, tensile, impact, flexural tests were conducted. This method fabrication very simple cost-effective. Their mechanical like yield strength, strain, Young’s modulus, impact energy investigated. GFRP compared fiber volume fraction. fraction plays a major role composites. modulus tensile strength modelled measured values. results show that demonstrate higher resin.
